Palestinian Association of Certified Public Accountants PACPA has been named as an Associate member of The International Federation of Accountants (IFAC)
 Palestinian Association of Certified Public Accountants PACPA  has been named as an  Associate  member of  The International Federation of Accountants  (IFAC), reflecting the increasing importance that  PACPA play in the global economy. The announcement was made in November 2013 during the IFAC Council Meeting in Seoul, South Korea.

As An associate member in IFAC, PACPA will contribute to the organization’s mission of strengthening the accounting profession through global initiatives, including IFAC’s Professional Accountants in Business (PAIB) Committee. PACPA will also offer technical guidance on international Accountancy programs and standards issued by independent standard setting boards supported by IFAC and the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB).

“As an Associate of IFAC, PACPA is complying with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and the Code of ethics for Professional Accountants,” said Akram Hassouneh, PACPA Chairman, who attended the IFAC meeting. “We look forward to working with IFAC to address significant challenges facing the profession globally, participate in the development of the national economy and cooperating with IFAC members among countries in organizing the profession”.
